Dear Brandy,

I want to truly thank you for being a part of our sweet birth experience with Lucy!  I very much appreciate your gift of listening.  I feel that is your best quality as a midwife.  I also always appreciated your knowledge you gave me from your years of experience.
You were such an asset to my birth of Lucy!  I appreciate you letting me push my legs so hard against your shoulders!  I’m sure you were hurtin’ so bad the next day! Sorry :/

Blessings!

Bethany (Lucy’s mom)

Brandy,

I could never thank you enough for helping me through my birth.  It was scary at times, difficult, beautiful, and miraculous all at the same time.  I always felt as though I was in good hands.  Your warmth and sincerity sine through your smile and in your eyes.  I know you love what you do; it’s evident in your energy and passion.  Thank you, Brandy, for being part of our birth.  I can’t imagine it any other way, and thank the universe for bringing you to us.

Love, Connie (Milo’s mom)

 Brandy,

We want to thank you soooo much for your care while I was pregnant with little Caleb.  We came to you in desperation at 32 weeks pregnant.  Not sure  of what was ahead, I knew one thing, I did not want to have our first baby in a hospital environment.    I wasn’t sure just yet about my alternatives, but Brandy surely brought that to light.  The midwife I had trusted up to this point let me know, very clearly and with great conviction that she believed some points on the birth plan I brought her did not make sense and some things just were not allowed and she could not help me out with some of them because they were “hospital policies”.   The icing on the cake was when she assured me that she was going to give me pitocen after Caleb was born to help with the placenta being birthed!!!!!!  You cannot even imagine what I was feeling at that time. I have never been in a hospital for any kind of care, so I was already a little uneasy about giving birth there and I believed that a midwife would help me and coach me to have the most comfortable, natural birthing experience in that environment.  All trust just flew out the window when she jabbed me with that matter of fact.  I felt at that point alone, scared and vulnerable.  I somewhat understood her stance on the hospital policy issues, although it did not make me feel any more comfortable with them, but this was absolutley not exceptable to me, and there is no way she was going to budge on her procedure.  Thank God I brought her a birthing plan, otherwise I was not going to find out about her  “pitocen policy” until she stuck me in the arm with a needle!!!  Was  I just a niave, rookie mother?  I felt that way.  Until we met Brandy!  I could cry everytime I stop to think about how you completley turned around our birthing experience for good.  After my encourter with my midwife, from the local OB clinic, I immediately started looking for a midwife at another clinic that was not under the influence of a doctor,  for as I quickly learned those midwives may very well use unnecesary medical internventions to aid in the birthing process.  I could not find one midwife from an OB clinic that could not practice without being “under the influence”, too funny not to add…hahaha!  I had met Brandy a couple of times when at one of our local LLL meetings and instantly liked her.  She has a very warm, caring spirit and I could tell she loves to help people.  When I saw she was a midwife from my research online, I became estatic and called her immeditaley.  She came over that night to talk with us.  She put us underneath her wings, I felt so safe and cared for, and my husband felt the exact same way.  Mike was just telling me last night how glad he is at the decision we made to bring Caleb in to the world, especially the more and more he talks to other families about theier experinces.  Mike and I can smile and have great memories when we think about our birthing experience that Brandy created.  I could truly write a book of all the good things Brandy Brandfass has brought into our families life.  She was not hi and bye, she was there for us even after Caleb was born and and still is always available for us.   Thank you Brandy, over and over again for your hard work , your loving, gentle spirit and for how much you give to your woman and their familes.  We look forward to our next journey together.

Lots of Love,
Mike, Dayna and Caleb Paul
