Dear Brandy,

I want to truly thank you for being a part of our sweet birth experience with Lucy!  I very much appreciate your gift of listening.  I feel that is your best quality as a midwife.  I also always appreciated your knowledge you gave me from your years of experience.
You were such an asset to my birth of Lucy!  I appreciate you letting me push my legs so hard against your shoulders!  I’m sure you were hurtin’ so bad the next day! Sorry :/

Blessings!

Brandy,

I could never thank you enough for helping me through my birth.  It was scary at times, difficult, beautiful, and miraculous all at the same time.  I always felt as though I was in good hands.  Your warmth and sincerity sine through your smile and in your eyes.  I know you love what you do; it’s evident in your energy and passion.  Thank you, Brandy, for being part of our birth.  I can’t imagine it any other way, and thank the universe for bringing you to us.

 Brandy,

We want to thank you soooo much for your care while I was pregnant with little Caleb.  We came to you in desperation at 32 weeks pregnant.  Not sure of what was ahead, I knew one thing, I did not want to have our first baby in a hospital environment.    I wasn’t sure just yet about my alternatives, but Brandy surely brought that to light.  The midwife I had trusted up to this point let me know, very clearly and with great conviction that she believed some points on the birth plan I brought her did not make sense and some things just were not allowed and she could not help me out with some of them because they were “hospital policies”.   The icing on the cake was when she assured me that she was going to give me pitocen after Caleb was born to help with the placenta being birthed!!!!!!  You cannot even imagine what I was feeling at that time. I have never been in a hospital for any kind of care, so I was already a little uneasy about giving birth there and I believed that a midwife would help me and coach me to have the most comfortable, natural birthing experience in that environment.  All trust just flew out the window when she jabbed me with that matter of fact.  I felt at that point alone, scared and vulnerable.  I somewhat understood her stance on the hospital policy issues, although it did not make me feel any more comfortable with them, but this was absolutley not exceptable to me, and there is no way she was going to budge on her procedure.  Thank God I brought her a birthing plan, otherwise I was not going to find out about her  “pitocen policy” until she stuck me in the arm with a needle!!!  Was  I just a niave, rookie mother?  I felt that way.  Until we met Brandy!  I could cry everytime I stop to think about how you completley turned around our birthing experience for good.  After my encourter with my midwife, from the local OB clinic, I immediately started looking for a midwife at another clinic that was not under the influence of a doctor,  for as I quickly learned those midwives may very well use unnecesary medical internventions to aid in the birthing process.  I could not find one midwife from an OB clinic that could not practice without being “under the influence”, too funny not to add…hahaha!  I had met Brandy a couple of times when at one of our local LLL meetings and instantly liked her.  She has a very warm, caring spirit and I could tell she loves to help people.  When I saw she was a midwife from my research online, I became estatic and called her immeditaley.  She came over that night to talk with us.  She put us underneath her wings, I felt so safe and cared for, and my husband felt the exact same way.  Mike was just telling me last night how glad he is at the decision we made to bring Caleb in to the world, especially the more and more he talks to other families about theier experinces.  Mike and I can smile and have great memories when we think about our birthing experience that Brandy created.  I could truly write a book of all the good things Brandy Brandfass has brought into our families life.  She was not hi and bye, she was there for us even after Caleb was born and and still is always available for us.   Thank you Brandy, over and over again for your hard work , your loving, gentle spirit and for how much you give to your woman and their familes.  We look forward to our next journey together.

Lots of Love,

Dear Brandy,

Words cannot express how grateful I am for your support during my miscarriage.  It made all the difference and I truly appreciate it.  You are so knowledgable, professional, and comforting all at the same time.  We would be honored for you to be our midwife when we are ready to try again.

Brandy,

I wanted to send you a little something to thank you for everything you did for me, Walter, and Maybelle before and during her birth.  I know you know this, but we could not have done it without you.  I could not have made it through that labor without your coaching and support - and without you holding that awful fetal heart monitor!  And all the fantastic prenatal care you have me helped me to be healthy and ready to give birth (even though it happened before I was really ready).  In large part because of you, we were able to have a birth experience that was as close as possible to what we wanted.

We are loving our lives with Maybelle, and I promise you'll get to see her again soon!

I absolutely ADORE Brandy Brandfass! My husband and I planned for a home-birth with out first child and planned to use Brandy for Pre-Natal, Birth, and Post-Natal Care. We began care with Brandy at 28 weeks after a "rough start" with several different OB-GYNs. Pre-Natal care with Brandy is like going to hang out with a friend, only you talk about babies the majority of the time. : ) She was interested in my life, not just in my pregnancy, and I never felt rushed when I was with her. Unfortunately, I became pre-eclamptic at the end of my pregnancy, so we risked out of the option to deliver at home. The decision about delivering in the hospital was made as a team...Brandy, myself, my husband, and the CNM who Brandy worked with all came to the conclusion that it was best for both the baby and me to deliver in the hospital. Being a part of key decisions like that is such a fantastic feeling, and one that I had never experienced with a traditional doctor. Even though the hospital we chose to deliver at was an hour and a half drive away, Brandy was on her way as soon as I asked her to come. I was nervous about being induced, and wanted a natural birth even though our "location" had changed. Brandy was fantastic. I cried the minute she and my birth assistant, Adrienne, walked through the door. I was so relieved to see Brandy...my friend and my trusted midwife. Immediately my labor started to pick up, and Brandy and Adrienne were right there with me, helping me through the whole thing. To this day, I swear I don't think I could have done it without them. The bond that was created between the three of us that night is something I am forever grateful for. I honestly don't think my birth could have gone any better, and that is SOLELY due to the fabulous care that Brandy and Adrienne provided. My daughter was born at 3:45 in the morning, and even though they had an hour and a half drive back home, Brandy and Adrienne were there with me till my beautiful daughter was safely here. The very first photos of me holding my daughter have Brandy standing right next to us, and those are some of my most cherished photos. She made my birth one of the most rewarding experiences and most wonderful memories...I will cherish those precious (and painful!) hours forever. Brandy has a gift for bringing children into the world, and I stand in awe of her constantly. I have never met another person so selfless and whole-heartedly caring as she is. My husband and I are now pregnant with our second child, and the first phone call we made after finding out was to Brandy! We are planning for a home-birth, and even if we end up in the hospital again, I'll be okay because I know Brandy and Adrienne will be there. She is an amazing friend, a fantastic midwife, and anyone who has the pleasure of knowing her is truly blessed. Women who have the extraordinary gift of her assistance bringing their babies into the world are the luckiest women in the world, because they have experienced care like no one else could provide...they've received care from the one and only, the amazing, Brandy Brandfass.
